No I dont mean that in a biblical, philosophical sense, I mean, why are we all on the H&H forum when its a long awaited gorgeous sunny DRY day and we should be riding our beloved's (horses!)??? I am unwell and hoping to feel better later for a a nice long (pub?) ride, had a great one yesterday, what are your excuses? Come on I am intrigued (just for fun not for criticism!) PS This time it is not a hangover to blame 4 me!!

Well yesterday my eldest daughter went on holiday and the younger one went to do her Saturday job. I had our lovely pony all to myself. We had a fantastic hack and I spent ages brushing and fussing over her.
Finally when I went to put the tack back in the tack room, I turned awkwardly ( although Ive done this hundreds of times before ) and jolted my neck.
Today I have a horrendous pain in my neck, eye and ear and it hurts to move at all.
So here I am at the PC. Hopefully the pain will ease off soon

I am here because I always clean the house on Sunday morning and I am avoiding it!!!!

Well my daughter and I went to yard at 8am to turn pony (new pony) out for the first time. We stood and watched for a while as he chatted to the other horse over the fence and had a sniff of our existing pony, then he had a roll and then started grazing.

Now we have just walked the dogs and my GSD had a great chase of a hare.

So now home for a cup of tea and a biscuit.

Then I have to take younger daughter to school to go off on her school holiday until Wednesday and then after lunch elder daughter and I will go and ride.

Also got a mountain of ironing to do and OH wants help in the garden cutting the grass and weeding a few beds.

It's nice and sunny here and warn too - a few white clouds but plenty of blue sky

Supposed to be planning my lessons for the last week of school - hurrahh! but thought I would have a quick look on the forum before I started and that was bout an hour ago!
Going to ride this afternoon

My OH has gone off to play squash with his mate (even though we are going on holiday tomorrow and aren't ready - but thats another story

Good Morning.

I'm here because it is 5.47am (according to pc) and I always have my first cup of coffee whilst checking what's going on in HHO land. In 10 minutes I am going out to drill holes for fence posts

Reason for going out so early? Fencing needs to be put up in the woods which is where the bugs live, they don't get up until 7ish and hopefully I'll not get eaten alive this early!

I hope the injured folk feel better soon, and I'm glad to hear that the UK is dry for a change.

Well I'm putting off pouring Spot On over lots of horses who aren't going to stand still and like it...

I will however have to go and get stuck in very soon...
but for now I can play on here because it's Sunday and therefore not a working day.

Addict

However done horses and dragged some of my show jumps out

Now off to get changed and pop along to the local show (2ft 9" and bigger is never before 1pm!)

I'm here because horsey is out playing (or more likely eating in the field), going up in an hour or so for a nice leisurely hack, and maybe just maybe my first canter with George on a hack?!

I am a sharer and his owner is riding today! I had a lovely day yesterday, so today is devoted to cleaning the house and getting organised for next week!

because im bored. Im waiting for a new saddle so cant ride. Saddle fitter is coming on tuesday hopefully and the other saddles I have ordered should be here on wednesday. Until then pony is being a playing out pony

I have mucked out and poo picked the field and done everything I need to do, pony is neat and tidy and tack is clean. If I carry on being this bored I might paint the stables tomorrow.

My mare is away at stud, so am a bit lost without her at the moment.
Have just ridden but only managed 20 mins.... the horse I have been patiently schooling for 3 months was ridden by a total muppet yesterday, and all my hard work is now undone grrrrr..

It's 6.57am here. I'm having my morning coffee whilst catching up on here. Will be off out in a little while though.

I have had a lazy morning as it is sunday, done some washing, OH is mowing the lawn. Going to watch the Grand Prix and off to ride Springy later.

I am here because the Tour De France passed the flat earlier & I had to wait for the road to open to get out. However, it is also passing through where my horse is in Kent, so I have to wait for the roads to open there too in order that I can get down!
