why can't I find a sharer!

ok so looking for a sharer.. put adds up etc... got 1 person who called.. and now she has decided she can't do it.. girl never even came to see pony!

Its not like I'm asking for any money for them to share.. there are no stable duties involed all i need is for someone to come ride through the week and on weekend if they wish to keep poy ticking over..

have you tried advertising in your local supermarket as well as online and in your local tack shops and feed suppliers?

yup he is advertised everywhere i can think of

just no takers.. don't understand.. he a great hack 110% bombproof completeley unflappable in all situations that he's been put in..

there is even oportunity to compete if someone wants to.. he just needs exercise

he is so lovelly..

Have you tried the local Unis and colleges if you have any near you? Students often have spare time but can't afford their own horse.

We found No 1 LGW advertised 'rider wanted' in the local feed shop, had been advertised from March till Septmeber - we saw advert on last day of the summer holidays

I have the same problem in East Sussex, I advertised in the Friday Ad for a sharer, no cost, I just wanted someone to ride/hunt with me mid week, my two horses are 100% and lovely, but I didn't even get one phone call

i have also been having this problem when trying to find someone to help with my 3, as much riding as they like, i think people are just wary of answering ads that sound too good to be true

I must be a greedy so and so, and lucky, as I have two wonderful sharers at present, and have had lovely sharers before too.

Re the pony, have you tried putting up a note at your local riding school, offering the share to someone who is ready for the next step on before buying their own. I found a couple of lovely sharers that way. They knew nothing about looking after a horse/pony, but I could teach them that part.

I found my latest sharer for my horse through Ad Trader free ads.

My other sharer came to massage my horse. We got chatting and I realised she didn't have her own and was delighted to be offered mine two days a week. Ideal as lovely sharer number 1 is now pregnant.

i'm having the same problem i think it might be the time of year, I had one person email me i emailed them back about coming to have a look at him and haven't heard anything since.

Before i had my horses i would have killed for a chance like that. It just seems like no one wants to at the moment.
