so ive been up since 4 with my 9 month old who though it funny to shout dad at 4am! I'm planning on cleaning out my stable today and disinfecting it so was pretty happy today only to get txt from yard owner
"what have you being saying to "someone"
no idea what hes on about so i call said person and get " i haven't said anything" "such and such said something" so i call them and i get no "ym said it" i get this every time i go up the yard and now I'm getting it at home! my yard as u know I'm having some problems and its so bit*** and backstabbing up there its like being back at school! ive made a point of talking to no one or watching what i say now as it gets twisted back and spread! sorry pointless rant but needed to air it its driving me nuts

Oh and my hays gone up to £2.25 not much u think but yeah everyone else pays £2!

i kept my mouth shut when YM lost my 2 months rent and I'm refusing to pay it again! hay free cut of her parks buy farmer who gets free rent for cutting it for his sheep and YM then charges us 1 for everyone else another for me!

i know move off but i need some where local in walking distance and not alot of people do diy

Start looking around asap - the sooner you start, the sooner you'll find somewhere or at least be able to put your name down on a waiting list. Whereabouts are you? I'm bet someone on here will know somewhere you could try. You don't need crap like this in your life.

Sounds like an awful yard, not very professional.
Too right your not paying the 2 months rent again, especially if the YM knows he was given it and he lost it.
I'd be out of the yard as soon as possible - hope you can find another yard to take you on d.i.y soon.

wouldn't minded but i don't look forward to doing my boy now and hes my escape from kids (half time there up there with me)

i have looked around locally and everyone's full livery nothing wrong with full livery but i prefer to do my horse my self

,ight look into renting a yard be so much easier!

you have GOT to move as it will never get better once it gets like this- i moved yards in may because my yard was really bitchy and i felt physically sick everytime i went up to do my horses. its the best decision i have ever made. i love my new yard and am very happy there....

I bit the bullet and just started looking round for a new place, I found one and just went for it straight away and 2 weeks later I was there and settled..

It honestly isn't worth staying somewhere like that..

I have been following your yard rants, Is this still the same yard?

That must be so awful for you. What is it about some of these yards or should I say the people in them. Ive had problems down my yard on a few occasions and when that happens I dont even want to go down there, so i know exacty how you feel. Im still having problems with a young mum down my yard now but just ignore her, she acts like a child.
Keeping a horse is such an expensive business and is for enjoyment and pleasure. Why do some people just want to make your life a misery. Keep looking is all I can say.

I'm very shy and find it hard to fit in sometimes, it was worse when I was younger and at rising schools, now I've found a lovely yard and I've fit in really well. I'm still paranoid tyat people are talking about me behind my back, and I know some people are quite b****y, other people have left because of it, but I keep myself to myself, I don't judge how other people keep their horses (unless they're cruel) and I don't expect to be judged for my methods, but I'm getting more and more confident, and I ignore the b****y people, they're the ones with the problem, not me. Though it's hard I know, and if the whole yard was the way yours sounds I couldn't hack it I'm afraid. My self esteem falls pretty easily!

If it had been me I would have gone straigh t to the YO and not the people who were supposdly gossiping.....

Otherwise.. Id get out of there.. they are taking the micheal!

Poor you, and they dont mind accepting you hard earned cash to gove you abbuse, and take the p**s by charging you more.

Can you rent a field? Or approach a locla riding school to see if they have any spare grazing?

As long as you dont want anything fancy, it would only cost you around £40 a month around here.

Dont really understand the reasoning behind yards not wanting DIY, I would have thought it was easy money
