I was just wondering that... I was just on page 2, then gone.
Did someone start naming names ?
Kx

No, but I had a 'rant'.
The jist of my rant (no names involved) was that I am seriously thinking of trimming my own horses' feet myself, as even with a blindfold on, and no training I doubt I could make their feet turn puce with internal bruising to the point where I had to Danilon one of them for two weeks!
I am sick of poor horse and customer care from 'smart a*se I'm-a-professional-be-grateful-if-I-turn-up-at-all' types. :D
Ah, that feels better.

Did that warrant the thread being pulled though?

You didn't name any names and it's perfectly legal to trim your own (if you really wanted to) so it wasn't as if you were breaking any rules.

Oh dear.
I know that feeling.
Brilliant farrier now, but if I came across the first 1 that had a go at my boys feet, I'd gladly floor him.

I had one of those years ago. Told me to retire my horse as he was never going to be able to be ridden. Turned out this was code for "I can't be bothered to actually shoe your horse properly - or I don't know how and I won't admit it"
Got a different farrier - then another - then another - found a good 'un in the end and horse is still going strong 14 years later!

Some people talk the talk...

I really like and respect my farrier and value his judgement.
He is always open to talk if anything is bothering me enough to ask, and will tell me why he's doing something and what he hopes to achieve from it.
Have been using him for years, and he's only kept me hanging around once, and that was due to an accident. He will call if he's gonnae be late, or to ask if he can come earlier.
I have used others in the past who werent as good, and personally think the ones that object to you asking questions or suggesting things, are the ones that cant give you answers or wont say they dont know,or cant give rationale behind their decisions/actions

I'm usually slow to spot a wind-up but I had that one on her third post;)
School holidays?:D

Erm, had one on her "third post?". Are you referring to me? I aint been at school for the past 11 years, thanks!!

I actually requested it got pulled, after not wanting to rock the boat any more, should have thought about it before putting the thread up. People know the person involved and didn't want to spark a fight/riot.
