Seriously my horse is a little horror.
1. He does this when you want to catch him (particularly when you're in a hurry or its raining)

You know your horse is fast when they look quick in slow mo :p

2. He jogs everywhere, especially in the woods because that's where the lions and tiger and bears live. Today out on a hack as we turned onto the track there was a horse about 100m in front and he did absolutely everything in his power to catch up with them.

Yet I get back to the yard beaming with pride and pleased about how much I love my little guy.

3. I had a lesson with Ollie Townend, wanting to impress I spent 3 hours cleaning him to find him covered in poo and in the actual lesson he acted like the nutter I bought a year ago not the calm sensible horse I have the pleasure of owning (sarcasm :p)

4. He always goes for a wee in the trailer ALWAYS!

Butter wouldn't melt

5. He bronced off my boyfriend for no apparent reason then acted as an angel when I got back on him

6. He pulls stupid faces

Despite all this I adore him and wouldn't swap the little begger for the world.

Pretty pictures in the mist

So what do your horses do that make you despise them? :)

Takes off into canter when I ask her for trot:o And farts in my face when I'm picking out her hind feet:mad:

Still love her!

Arizahn - my mare does that too! As soon as I lift that back foot, it's like some kind of fart lever! :D

Also she's grumpy when she's hot, when it's too cold, when it's windy, when it's raining... grumpy when she's hungry, grumpy if she thinks you're ignoring her....

Basically a right moody old mare. But I love her!!! The big grumpy git!! :D

He's adorable! Can we have him to add to Al's collection of cheeky ponies (Reg is just a very big pony...) :D

Reg's trick for not being caught is to walk about 5 yards infront of Al at the speed she's going. If she starts to jog, so does he. She stops, so does he... Cheeky beggar! You can see him giggling at her as he does it!

The farting when picking out feet is another one, they really are horrible :p

Feathered- she does sound like a grump, I had a pony like that the only time he wasn't grumpy was when he was eating

He is so cheeky the little begger :p I also had a pony that did the walk 5 yards in front, if anything that is more frustrating then when they're galloping circles around you

He is lovely - a real credit to you. And blimey!! You two have come on so much since I last watched a video of you both!! :D Well done as you really deserve it, and a lesson with Ollie Townend?! Lucky you!! :)

Farting when I pull his tail so I'm right in the firing line!
Stealing my jammy dodgers and holding them at full stretch so I can't reach!
Spooking at people because they happened to stop to look at him?!
Trying his hardest to get in the stable while I'm mucking out because he couldn't possibly poo outside in public :D

But he does give good licks!

Bucked me off and I broke my back but technically I class this as my fault for not staying on.
Seemingly goes out of her way to get even dirtier during the night than the day before, AFTER she's had a bath.
But love her all the same especially after today we moved from the yard she has been on for 16 years, we hacked there which took us way out of our comfort zone and she was an angel, in fact she rode like a 7 year old even though shes 23!

I do like your psycho beast :)

I don't appreciate how mine can go from calm, reasonably well mannered pony to snorting, dancing, hyper psycho beast the evening I've manned up enough to take him sj-ing the next day  hmmm...

Awww he did make me laugh :D Hes so cute with his naughtiness, I dont think I could be mad at him - he really looked like he was uber excited during his jumping lesson :D

My boy does the fart in your face thing when I lift his back feet - and he does the lunge at the haynet and grab it and pull it making it as difficult as possible for mum to actually hang it up anywhere. He gets uber excited when the poles come out too although not as much as your boy but he certainly goes up a gear and is impossible to do flat work with in an arena with jumps. He also thinks that the canter phase of a Showing class is a great excuse to go into race horse mode and whizz around the arena - I swear its the only time he does it and he can have 40 horses around him in the warm up arena and he goes beautifully - get him in the ring and off he goes

But he has a heart of gold and a fabulous nature and I wouldnt part with him for anything

Aww he's adorable!! :p He reminds of my retired lad in his mannerisms! He wasn't errm easy to ride, but something made me forgive him every time.

My 4 year old is foot perfect 95% of the time, and when he is naughty its so innocent and well meant that I can't get mad. I adore him, even when today he pushed out of stable and mowed me down... in super slow motion!! Just like ''scuuse me Mum, scuuse me... yep taa just a coming through there''. I went to get mad at his ill manners and he just looked so misunderstood and forlorn I had to laugh at him :o

Bless him.

I love mine when he parts my hair with his farts

Try's to knock me over for no reason

Wakes me up by banging on his stable door.

And daughter loves him because

She gets kisses, and love and fun times

Sorry for over load, but that is why I love him xx

Hmmm git pony runs as fast as he can around you untill he cant breathe any longer before finally letting you get a head collar on him to catch the bugger  normally taking from an hour to an hour and a half. Then once caught and having foamed him self up and soaked any rugs he is wearing he then majorly objects to being washed off and last time I ended up with a chunk out of my knee where he dragged me around .

He had a bit of a rash thing when I arrived to ride him today so after a bit of poking and prodding and washing without any reaction I decided to take him out on a gentle hack. Well he had other ideas  we jogged most of the first half then some birds took off so we had to trot as fast as we could away from them. Got him back to me and he then kicked out at my leg when I asked him to do some leg yeild  obviously just worrying me for no reason and didnt want a quiet day. He wouldnt let me undo his grackle yesterday after jumping and started throwing his head at people to try stop me getting to it and he still walks like he has travel boots on when I put back boots on him  and he still hasnt gone yellow yet  GROW SOME HAIR PONY!!!

But I'll let him off as he was super cool yesterday at pc having not seen a sj since christmas time and has been a cool bean about starting hunter trialing :D.
See he loved jumping yesterday

and has learned to make him self look lankey  (well for a pony known as little legs :p)

Now I just need to decide if I should take him sj tomorrow if he still has his scabby rash thing. But I'll have andy :D he is far to cute.

The Ollie Townend lesson was amazing despite the fact he was on his worst behaviour. We were the entertainment of the evening I think :L

Laura6544- Is that him bucking you off in your signature? Brilliant photo :p
JFTD- I know what you mean about be psycho the day before manning up, I think they know
Hevs- he was so stupidly excited, it didn't help that the last time we were in that arena was playing polocrosse and I think loads of people on here knows what happened when we did that :o
Mulledwhine- He is just so cute! I want :)
Dafthoss- always had a soft spot for your little guy, he looks fab in that stressage picture, wouldn't guess his height from it :p

Your Andy is adorable and really reminds me of my late horse Luka, he was as quirky as anything and a nightmare to catch, but I just couldn't get cross with him.. most of the time I didn't know whether to laugh or cry!

My current horse is generally pretty good, although he does have an annoying habit of walking off when I'm taking his tack off... he is getting cheekier.

Have to admit that I've always had a soft spot for Andy. He's certainly a character (and I mean that in the nicest possible way?) ;)

My girl has recently lost the ability to canter on hacks. After a year with no issues whatsoever, she's suddenly decided that bouncing/bunny-hopping sideways is the correct pace to go between trot and gallop (both of which we can achieve relatively calmly, with no issues whatsoever). Of course, jumping aside, in the arena she can be a lazy little so-and-so.
She also won't bat an eyelid at a lorry whizzing past at 60 miles per hour, but if a single blade of grass or lump of mud looks slightly suspect... well. It's definitely a sign that there's a horse-eating-creature of some kind lurking nearby. Cue backing into ditches/roads/dancing sideways/digging to Australia/much snorting and sounds generally conveying how unimpressed she is at being asked to pass something so evidently lethal.

That said, considering that the majority of the time she's angelic(ish), I can hardly complain. Got to have the whole package, after all - they wouldn't be half as interesting if they were all perfect.

Andy reminds me so much of my old boy ! ( well apart from the naughty to catch bit)
My little mare is an angel so nothing really only she has this way with geldings that become totally love struck and unable to be with out her!
Soo my gelding I handle him in a chiffney cause the last time he got away from me he did extensive damage to himself and nearly died! He can't be seperated from my mare and when I ride her I have to put a grill up in his stable, when I get back I have to wash him down too! ( this is mainly to me not ridding over the winter much .so he has to settle again) he makes me smile just walking across the feild as we have been through so much, he beat all odds to still be here and he's not really that bad big softy really :)
