Why do people delete their accounts?

Saw a post earlier on today, and just wondered why people want to to delete their accounts and if by doing this all of their posts "dissapear"?

Because they no longer wish to be on the forum?

Well if i no longer wanted to be part of this forum i just would not log in - or maybe i am an untidy little sod in cyber space too ! lol

I think it's when people want to leave because of dissatisfaction with the Forum/members for one reason or another and they want everyone to know they're cross!

Posts don't disappear once account is deleted. I don't know why people don't just stop posting.

Because they want to huff and puff and blow your house down, but cant, so they throw their dummy out of the pram instead

I think some do it because they have perhaps said a little too much about something or someone or may of told a porky or too and then realise they will be caught out because you never know who's lurking

I think its because, they tried boycotting it, maybe kept having a little peek and eventually it got the better of them and had to post after they promised themselves they wouldnt, so deleting it makes it more final.......

No sorry totally agree with spitting the dummy out.
