There is a girl at our yard who was bought a pony two years ago by unknowledgeable parents. Said pony was sold as 13.2 schoolmaster ideal first pony. They paid about 2.5k with no tack. Long story short pony is dangerous, bucks, naps won't go in the school won't leave the yard etc. Girl is terrified to ride her. They have finally decided to sell pony and have advertised her as 100 percent 1st pony, bombproof etc. We've had a measuring stick on her and she is 12.2 not 13.2 but they have still advertised her at 13.2. They want nearly 2k for her. Girl is only about 8 or 9 and as skinny as a rake but they have already started looking for another horse and are thinking of buying something 16hh! Everyone at the yard has tried to talk sense into them but it's just not working.
 
The only positive I can see is that they're unlikely to be able to sell the pony for that price so unless they're willing to drop the price dramatically the pony won't be going anywhere.
