Question which needs answering really.....

They are either

a) short and hairy
b) big and gangly.

We have problems getting weight on, and getting it off.
They are either demented and whizzy, or lazy and slow.

Soft as poo- or evil incarnate.

Put food in one end, and shovel it up once it has passed through and come out the other.

We fall out with friends and strangers over them, argue with OH over them.....injure ourselves, become finacially embarrassed because of them- smell a lot and travel around in mobile skips looking like tramps.

Hmmm.

Im interested in the response to this one! So far this year i've spent thousands, been half killed twice and am now scared to death of riding but still want one... Maybe its an illness...?

LOL you have a good point :D

I would be infinitely richer and probably live in a bigger house if I didn't have horses, but I would be bored and fat. My horses are the reason I get up in the morning, and I never tire of them. :)

Hm.

And the problem is...??? :D :D :D :D

I've come to the conclusion it is simple insanity. Anyway, whatever causes it I've learned by mistakes and won't be repeating it!

It was just a ponderment....

Typical day of a horse owner....this was me yesterday.

Up at 6.20- mucked out x3...general yard duties etc.
Back home, shower-brekkie- direct kids in various directions.
Work 9-5-ish.
Collected kids (OH at work)......went to sort horses. Peeing it down. Mud galore. Horses went de-ranged and escaped into my resting grass and had a hooley- would not be caught, hence me tramping around in the rain waving headcollars and shouting at eldest to coral them into yard area and shut gate....eventually caught them and shut them away. Spent 15 minutes stamping precious divots of new grass back down.

Then.....my floor OCD kicked in and despite the rain I was out scraping up poo and dead manky hay from the turn-out floor as new grass coming through. Barrow too heavy- fell over, covered in yet more mud. Wolley hat now perched on top of head like 'int milk brilliant'. Could not get barrow up the summit of muck heap so gave up and collapsed it at the base. Awoke this am with mystery pulled muscle in my right shoulder.

And you know what?

Happy as a pig in........:D
