Why is it horses always seem to know when the best moment is to do something that will totally embarrass you??

Had a BBQ at yard at weekend to celebrate the opening of our new indoor school so had loads of people sitting around. I'd been out for a hack and walking back across the outdoor sand school my horse decided he do something he's never tried to do before........

Roll with his tack on !!!

I was walking him back in hand so becuase I had his head he somehow managed to sit down bottom first and just sat there like a dog, looking at me !!!

One friend came running as she thought he'd collapsed (he's 28 and she thought something had happened to him becuase he just literally dropped mid stride !!!)

There was nothing wrong at all, he was just trying to roll cos when I told him off he got up and walked on like nothing had happened!!!

My daughters old loan pony did it when she was riding. Came to lovely sandy spot and just dropped no warning at all. I screamed at her to crack him one because he would have rolled with her onboard. He was a cheeky b too. lol

lol, mine always manage to do something when i have an audience! last time my arab mare decided to chuck me off it was in front of this little old lady driving down a deserted road. she bucked and bucked until i was sat on the ground right in front of this ladys car

Mine was working herself at the weekend, napping in the middle of the road so I had to get off and lead. She just planted herself, then walked backwards. Luckily all the drivers were very sympathetic, think they assumed she was just a baby (she's 20!). But it was really embarrassing, usually she behaves on the road
