I know this has probably been done before MANY times :) But Im curious as to why people, especially those on several forums, go on them? Would one not suffice? I have recently joined another one after having this as my only horse chat forum (and very informative might I add :D) I see that people who are on several tend to carry their problems from one to another? I have to say I prefer this forum as I dont have to put threads up to get information there is usually one running but I thought I would ask this question as its something that has been in my head since last week and nobody has already put a thread up about it :)

I know the value of second opinion but why bring your fights and other issues from one to the other OR why do some people seem to take great delight in following and harrassing people on their opinions and lives from one forum to the next? Do people not have their own lives to live and enjoy without having to involve themselves in other peoples, maybe im just naive :o

Im a pretty private person, I dont post alot about myself on here as I dont have a horse at the minute I just ride one on a yard, and dont feel as though I can contribute very much to such a knowledgable place but I do enjoy reading others journeys and stories, thats why I joined as well as for the information.

I quite like it when I spot someone I recognize from on here on another forum, especially if they're using a different username. It makes me feel super observant (but its actually just a bit sad, I suppose :o :D )

ETA To answer the question, some people just love drama and will try to create it any way and any where they can.

I suppose you get something different from each one. I like HHO as it has an absolutely massive knowledge base about everything, I also like the no nonsense approach on this forum and the moderation. TFC Rocks :D I have made some lovely aquaintances from other forums. If forums had to end tomorrow however i dont think i would be too upset, I got along fine without them before i discovered them and they can sometimes cause more problems than they are worth when people get too involved in them and value what others think about them. I think thats when the problems occur when it gets too personal to you.

I come on here for something to do while I'm drinking endless cups of tea :) I'm only on this forum. I lurk on another for the information there, but that's not a horse forum.

I'm a member of a couple of forums, including this one. Some are better for certain issues than others. EG - if I have a question regarding western tack, I would go to the other forum, as it is based in America:) I prefer this one for feed as everyone here knows the feed companies I would be asking about.

Both are good for health and riding issues, though the other forum is more into natural horsemanship type stuff. I also used it a lot for advice on handling on the ground, when Hippo was being really scary a few months back. (As in, imminent "trip to factory" level of scary...)

Admittedly if I have a really bad day, I go to a third forum that isn't at all horse related but where I have gotten some of the best advice/support in my life. And there's a dog one too, but I haven't been on there in ages. I should check in and see how everyone is:o
