Well I can't contain my anger anymore!
I rode a chesnut thoroughbred a few times for a lady who had absolutely no time for her horses atall, so I used to school her ever so lightly as she isn't too keen, and hack her out with a bombproof pony field mate.
I then stopped working her because I took on a new job which was full time and it required me too really get my head in a book to learn for this particular job. I then found out the mare was for sale, for a mere £500...
She is a 14 year old chesnut thoroughbred ex-racer, has apparently evented and done alot of dressage, and I know she is capable of flying changes etc etc however she has no condition on her, no topline, and she doesn't hack out nicely alone. She is near enough perfect when in company, but can spook, but alone she is an absolute nightmare and I really don't think it is my riding! I used to have a very nappy spinner of an ex-racer and I dealt with him with no problems, same size as her, but I agreed to buy this chesnut mare as I really did feel sorry for her current situation.
She then texts me a week before saying that she has decided to keep the mare as her daughter cannot bare too part with her, so she is going to send her away to be professionally schooled because her daughter was too frightened too ride her, I was gutted, but I text her back saying I do understand and I hope you work it out and if anything changes just give me a text...
I then see she has sent her too be ''schooled'', not professionally mind you, and too make it worse she has now been advertised just 3 weeks later as a perfect teens allrounder...now I know for a fact she isn't that!
Owner seems to think this thoroughbred can be left weeks and then tacked up and ridden and she is no different...completely the opposite, she is VERY typically thoroughbred, after not having been ridden for a few weeks when I first got on her, she was fizzy, attempted a buck when asked to trot, then when I did get a trot, it quickly turned into gallop. She is raced around like a headless chicken by the daughter, constantly galloped, so it is no wonder she has that attitude!
Daughter when she does bother to try and ride actually rides her in a full breastplate claiming it stops her from lifting her head up so high, and also to stop her bucking... (even though she is apparently perfect?) I wasn't going to even try and get into a conversation with her about that..
Ahhhhh I am just so angry but to top it all off, she is now advertised for £2000!!!
Why do people care more for money than the home their horse will go to? ESPECIALLY given the fact she is 14 years old...

--Edit-- I am aware my post contradicts itself a little, but that is purely because I am going by what I get told, teenage daughter is nervous but apparently still has the guts to gallop her flat out...
