Why does my dog lick all the time?

Apologies if this is a duplicate as I posted this earlier but can't find it now.
My 18 month staffie bitch constantly licks everyone (and other dogs). I don't mind it too much - quite nice on feet! But my husband hates it. Is this normal behaviour, or is it submissive/dominant behaviour or might she be lacking in something? She doesn't lick at herself...

Our 2 yr old gsdx bitch similar so I am alos interested by this.

OH doesn't mind the licking, but I'm very ticklish. As for feet - don't go there!

The smell of human feet is very similar to the smell a bitch exudes when she is on heat.
Something to think about when your dog licks your feet!

It is probably just a grooming thing. Would she be overly submissive? Or dominant, as you mention?

My very submissive 14-month old Italian greyhound does it all the time - I always thought it was just a grooming thing.
