when I lung our pony a 12.2 new forest she lung's fine on the left lung line but when I change the lung line to the right side she try's to come in at me, ears back not to happy with me !!! why is that.... the little mink's....

is that minx?

Probably because that is her weaker side and because she can. Are you using side reins? They make a big difference and will keep her straight(but don't put them on too tight)

They are usually worse to right because they are led from the left and become stronger that side. Start leading from right ,use side reins or get someone who knows how to long rein ,to long rein on a circle, also be positive on that rein and send her forward keep slightly behind her centre.

Ty turns in when I'm lunging him on his blind side - think that this is due to reassurance and the fact that he gets confused about what I'm asking him rather than him being naughty....he's starting to get it slowly though!

mine did this as soon as i lunged him on the left rein. Kept trying to push him into it but he clearly wasn't happy so had vet out who agreed something was up. several Xrays, nerve blocks and scans later found out he has a suspensory injury which was only slight but causing him discomfort on a circle- no sign of lameness other than a reluctance to lunge on the left rein.
Not saying this is same as yours but may be worth checking out that she's ok leg/back wise- or she could just be taking the mick!

my old 12.3hh welshie used to do that too , he used to charge as well!! i thought id ride while some one lunged him and gave him a big pony club kick when he done it... maybe a bad idea he dumped me and broken my shoulder!!!

i got him through it by nearly walking behind him when lunging sort of chasing him round untill graudually i stopped moving and he carried on, takes a while though! good luck
