TBH - Horseselect is my favourite website - being 'up north' myself!! I look almost every day, and am wondering why I don't remember your ad?!!!
I think it is because -
a - chestnut mare(!)
b - very little experience, especially jumping, for age
c - wrong section (am looking for potential eventer)
d - price too high for experience
e - not novice ride!! makes me think that the chestnut mare quirkiness is there in abundance!
Having said all that, and looked at your website, she looks just right for us! Just the price thing........
I'm not advertising her through the website...that's a link that's in her advert for folk to find out more about her, so not fussed about that coming up in the google ratings, but thank you for you response
I've put not novice ride because she's not aimed at happy hackers (sorry don't want to offend, but she's not a RC horse). She's a competition mare, and with that comes the quirkyness. She is extremely talented. I'm not saying that because I'm biased, because I never liked the mare much when we got her, but having seen her work I am impressed.
She was bred to race and was passed around pillar to post before we got her last year, so hence not doing anything. All her comp stuff has been with us.
We haven't got an arena hence the lack of jumping comp experience. We have to hire a school to jump her, which gets expensive, and OH who rides her is very much a get it perfect at home before taking her competing elsewhere. He's a perfectionist. She just needs a rider now, who can take her forwards. She'd easily go medium BD, and her jump is amazing, she would certainly not struggle going Novice BE.
She's a chilled out little soul really, but does have her argumentative moments. Tbh she's no more grumpy than my ID/TB mare at times!
She looks nice but in today's market I'm afraid I also think she is really pricey, I think you can find similar for a lot less :-( Sorry, just being honest.
I had a look at this height/age on horsemart and to me it looks like those around 6k have: 1) more experience 2) not "no novice" 3) aren't re-trained TBs
I'd take out the negative stuff - think of who your market for her is. If it's a 'serious' competitor then they should be fit for her, you're not advertising a schoolmistress.
I'd advertise in H&H, again remembering what your market is, and where they'd be looking for a horse. For 6k i'd expect a 'serious' advert, nice pic etc in the paper.
