Well yesterday was getting ready to leave my mums house, she lives in a Cul de Sac, OH let Finn, Tinks & Cherry out the house into the garden, next thing I hear is NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO .....

Finn has taken flight after Tinker who decided to chase the cat sitting OVER the road... Tinker stopped at the NNNNNOOOO... Finn however did not - ran straight across the road (At which point I came out the house) ... He ran across the front lawn of the house in which the cats were sitting... across their driveway and came to a HORRIBLE gut wrenching stop...

Between the 2 house is a WIRE fence.... plain wire, 2 levels... he ran straight into them catching his face/nose/eye on the top and his chest/shoulders on the bottom... was flung backwards into a heap onto the concrete driveway.... my stomach was doing flips... he could have cut himself in half/garrotted himself/done internal injuries...

He got up and came racing back across the road to me... having scared himself... not looking both ways before he came charging back!!

The result - an eye like he'd done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson - blood gushing from it where he had nearly ripped his eye out!

A very sore looking pooch!

(Incidently I was sobbing as I nearly lost my baby)

A much needed sleep to ease away the aches!

I think we're all like that!

I found a growth on the Beast's muzzle last week and I was in tears over it! Such a big panic. Had her booked into the vets the very next day (I found it late at night) and left work early to take her!

Oh no, Silly Finny! Hope he makes a fast recovery. xx

[/ QUOTE ]Thank you... the swelling had reduced this morning - if it is still there tonight may go to vets to get it checked out.

Oh no, poor Finn. Hate to tell you this though hun, but he WILL chase cats again. I've lost count of the times Ki has skidded into the side of the house/wall/gate/fence chasing our cats and he still does it relentlessly

'tis just a small lion after all

Hope he feels better now.

Awww huge hugs for bad puppy but bigger ones for you as we know only too well the fear of a chasing dog intent on nothing but a target!!!!
Lots of chocolate for you and huggles!

Matty, Sage and Dexter send lots of doggy hugs and licks to Finn. Maybe he has learnt his lesson!! You should get a cat and then he will soon learn they aren't toys to play with. Our cat runs rings around all the dogs, she is way too fast for any of them.

OMG! What a lucky escape. Bad bad pooches

As you say, hopefully that will put him off cat chasing for good.

Hope he (and you!) are feeling better soon.
