I've been thinking

I'm not sure this home is good enough for me. I have to do so much work, but look at me

Don't you think I look worthy of being worshiped?

They do fill my food bowl on demand, but when I managed to find a hidden cat food bag from Cilla the moggy, and wanted to taste the Weight Loss cat food, I was told "No, you're not fat."
I didn't ask about my weight, I said I wanted to taste the food. So first I had to find the food, then I had to use my mighty gnashers

To get to taste the food

Similar thing happened when I found a hidden bag of Gastrointestinal dog food. I said I want to taste it, owner said "No, you're not a dog." So yet again I had to put my mighty gnashers to work

(Note, my owners worries about me ending up at the vets after eating plastic, as if I would be that stupid, the ripped off pieces can be found strewn out all over the floor. But that's why they tried to hide these bags from me.)

And still, I'm so generous to my owners. I give them a variety of gifts, living gifts, dead gifts, I've even given them a current total of 5 earthworms. How many other cats do you know of that give earthworms to their owners? The other day I gave them a live shrew, but sadly I can't share any picture of that shrew, because they lost it, and can't find it!
Such incompetence! After all my hard work. Look how exhausted I was after all my work

As if that wasn't enough, my owner gives me more work to do, by kissing me, and cuddling me way too often, so I have to clean myself afterwards. For some reason it's especially up in this area she kisses me

I suspect she's chosen that area because she knows it isn't the easiest for me to reach to clean after all her kissing. Story of my life, more work for me, just work, work, work. It was easier when Cilla the moggy lived, and I had someone to share all this work with.
Now some of you might think *But isn't there a dog in the family?* Ptf, she's a dog, the only thing she's good as is as sleeping companion.
All this work on my own is making me so tired, I have to settle down for a well-deserved nap, maybe I'll dream about a better home, bye.

I have a mouse in the house at the moment. It’s been in for a few weeks now. Gobby cat brought it in and deposited it in the hall at my feet. It was last seen a few days later running around the kitchen, though the cats occasionally were interested in a certain area for a while. I have tried trapping but it is not interested. It may have made it out but who knows?🤷‍♀️ Luckily no horrid smell yet, let’s hope it stays that way.🤞Gobby does bring plenty of rats back but thank goodness never alive.

...
Has the shrew been located yet?

No!
Fröjdis did spend over 24 hours mainly in the room it was last seen, but have since lost interest. Though we do have some windows open, if we're lucky it has found its way out again.

{{{Sympathy}}} and fingers crossed. 🤞

Cats! I love them dearly, I love being a cat owner, but sometimes I question my sanity.
