Hi, Not a regular on here but I need to get this off my chest

Last summer I sold a lovely yearling (due to redundancy) to what I thought was a brilliant perminant home, within a month he was up for sale again advertised as being lightly backed & lunging!! WTF he was only just 18 months at this point! (another rant)
He was finally sold this summer & now I have seen the poor thing up for sale again with a different person.

I know it is none of my business & out of my hands now but this poor now 2yr old has been in 5 soon to be 6 different homes in his very short life.
I am probably being too soft but if a perfectly friendly, genuine pony gets past from pillar to post, what hope does this leave for nervy, unpredictable horses?

Why does every seem to think they can make quick money out of horses?

cos its a living for some people, just as its a living to deal in cars, pets in petshops, veg or anything else that is bought.

The advert had pictures of the poor boy lunging & sat on I think there was even a video, needless to say I was distraught when I found out. I hadnt had him very long but when I bought him he was an unhandled baby & had come on so far. I can have some comfort in the fact the new advert has no mention of riding or lunging.

I do understand the need for dealers but I sold him to a 15 year old girl. She had another young horse & she convinced me he was in a home for life. I would never have sold him if I thought he would be passed about this much

There are very few homes for life unfortunately. And on many occasions horses arent given the correct training and management for their needs so they get sold on because they 'misbehave'. Very sad but unfortunately if you sell a horse then you have no right to have a say in its future
