why is he snorting so much???!!!

My gelding has started snorting A LOT the last few days, he doesn't normally snort that much but its getting a bit ridiculous....its almost constant, its not very snotty or anything but its a little weird! Any ideas why this might be happening? thanks guys....

There's a very high pollen count in some areas this year so it could be horsey hay fever.

I get the human equivalent & even though it is overcast here I still have a runny nose, sneezes & watery eyes.

Maybe try him in a nose net?
 

Its funny as my horse is a real snorter! i have only owned him for 3 months but the first thing his previous owner said was "he snorts a lot" I think its just some horses way! Lastnite I went in stable with large yellow coloured box with all my grooming brushes in and he snorted at it! Last week I found myself appologising to a lady walking her dog, as when I rode past my horse let out a Chorus of big loud snorts.....!
But I do agree with other posts, if he is not normally snorting as much it could be hayfever type thing as high pollen count.
