WHY is Hector being so nice ATM?

Is it because all the beatings he's had over the last 6 months have FINALLY hit home and he now knows that biting is totally unacceptable, or is it because he knows he is now up for sale and that weaning is approaching?

He is just being SO adorable atm, sooooooooo cuddley and sweet and GOOD!! I mean, he always has been good, but now he is exceptionally good. I mean how many colt foals can you stand in front of and shove the headcollar on (clip throat lash) and a) not have an arguement to get the nose band out of his mouth b) not have words about trying to grab the leadrope in his mouth c) not have to extract your watch from his mouth and d) not be at rish from striking front legs??

I'm gonna miss him, I love him loads......

H is brill. You have brought him up well. That is why. My filly actually stuffs her nose in the headcollar. Cos she has been taught not to chew it, bite me, eat the lead rope. You have been a good mum. And someone will get a brilliant youngster out of it all. So well done you on being a good mum!!!

It is always sad when you sell a horse. And will be even more so for you. I cried for days when I sold mine last year. Both before during and after. My sister thought someone had died when I rang her after Kizzy had gone!!! But now. Well I must be a heartless cow. I still keep in touch with the owner - maybe that is why I feel okay, they love her to bits and think she is the bees knees. And I go and see her about twice a year!!! Have become friendly with new owners and we chat about other stuff too.
