Poor Sid our pug x frenchie , got his toe trod on last night by our horse. At first it seemed ok as he trotted off but when we got to him it was bleeding badly and nail was off. Phoned our dog vet but as it was 6.30 they charge over £100 to see him, then phoned our horse vet [ which is a couple of miles further] and they charge £65. So took him there and they checked it and cleaned it and wrapped it up . Took him back this morning and it was swollen so they kept him in for x rays etc. Got to phone at 4.30.
They also were worried about a lump on his forehead, he is 6 months old and were told by the breeder that their vets said it was just a birthmark type thing where the whorl was, he had it from birth and it hasn't grown any bigger . It has hair on it and he doesn't worry about it or anything, he is fit and healthy in himself. The breeder had him vaccinated and microchipped so I believed what they said [maybe should have got him checked before buying]
Why is it the one you don't have insured, my puppy is insured [my daughter and I had them the same week] and both her horses are insured.
Please send healing vibes
