why is my horse being like this??

Two days on the run my horse has been behaving like a 2 yr old and he is 15! is it to do with him thinking he shouldnt be rode now and i should let him get his belly fatter than it arady is? since he has been going out he seems to be loosing manners in general! he is a star still in his box but is dragging me on the way to the field all over the show! he is acting more stallion like to ride to now this isnt bad with his outline but not with momentum! lol
 
Dont worry its the spring grass. Loads at our yard are like that. Baron is a bit wierd atm, took me 30mins to catch him yesterday, and last thusday I couldnt get him at all. He gone all spooky aswell. He was the same last year, should calm down in a few weeks

Hi Horsebetty141 !! Have a read of my post from earlier this morning ............... Hyperactive neddy !!!

My boy is 26 yrs and last night was like a hyperactive child!! Some of my friends at my yard think it is to do with the nutrional content of the grass, being very sweet and sugary causing it .............. not sure but could be I guess!

Does it sound anything like your problem??
 
oh thanks didnt think the grass would have an affect like that! silly me! oh well will have fun for a few days although i dont like his mannerisms at the moment he is becoming rather rude!
 
Good luck Horsebetty - I am facing the same when I get to the yard tonight - am hoping to hack, but will assess the situation when I get there to see if it is a sensible idea or not !!! We may just spend half hour galloping around the arena instead!!!
