Why is my horse suddenly playing up?

My mare has been really good this year. Bit last night, she was really acting out of character.

She was neighing at horses on the way to the school, and started showing off in the school while on the lunge. It wasn't directed at me at all, but towards two horses in the adjacent paddock.

I stopped walked her around in circles, and she was calm. But as soon as I went further away and lunged her again, the two staring horses distracted her again). Why??

She does get a bit weird around Halloween (!!)... But I used to think it was because of people using fireworks unnecessarily...

Not windy... But yeah, it looked like the way she used to be a long time ago... when she had her first season.

But really? In October?

Mine is! But luckily well behaved with it, phew!

Sounds like typical in season 'where are the boys' behaviour!

Gosh... No wonder those horses were STARING. Like for a good hour! Ny parents are lucky I was never like that...

I have heard their first and last of the year are the strongest and most noticeable too? Better keep an eye on my little tarty pants as we have 2 new geldings coming to livery with us on Sunday in the field next to her. Fortunately YO just restored the electric fencing back to the mains Eek!!!
