my horse will not eat his haylegh once it has touched the floor but when i then go to get rid of it and put it in the wheel barrow he will stand and eat it and would do till it was all gone! I am packing his haynet so he actually has something! He has a small hole net and it packed so i thouight less would fall out but there always seems to be a pile when i get up at night! Very strange am i just going have to get used to it! He has only started doing it in the past yr or so!

I feed my horses hay in a huge bucket on the floor and he invarably pushes it out and kicks it around his stable! But I find that if I give him slightly less the next night he is forced to hoover up the bits he has been playing with on the floor and there is much less waste then!

If you give him less - he will eat what's on the floor. More cost effective for you as well and no wastage.
