Just typed all this out and somehow, it never posted! Arg!

Friend has a horse advertised to loan, someone enquired (who I'll call C) and she recognised the name and asked, C denied that he was the same person. Friend text me and I confirmed the numbers matched and it was the same person. C has a well earned reputation for being over aggressive with horses. I will tell Ned off if I need to, but what C does is painful to watch :(
Friends horse is a sensitive sole and C would absolutely ruin her.

Why lie when you can be found out from one text?

OMG - I could have written this (or similar). I have an ad out for a sharer for my girl. Had a response, was told girl worked in a racing yard, used to TB's yada, yada. All was going really well, loads of messages back and forth. Asked her to come round this weekend and hack out with my daughter - and which yard she worked at, as I may know it (very conversational not asking for references or anything like that) - suddenly I get a 'Just seen where you keep her - sorry I though she was closer and wanted to ride in my lunchhour'.

What ??? Ride in your lunch hour when you work on a racing yard ??

The ad clearly states where she's kept. So, absolutely, why lie ??

Baffled

C also asked about another friends horse, who is just 5 and a bit messed up at the moment (long story, but he's got a fabulous full loan home). C asked about him for a daughter who is only a young child...I don't think C listened to a word friend said about her horse! He floored everyone who got on, yet he wants him for a young child?!

Like you said Shmoo, I'm baffled!!!
