Moved to new yard a week or so ago and foalie has been in with another mare and youngster. Tonight we brought the foals in - put them together in a stable with talking grill and shut the top doors. Cue lots and lots (and lots) of shouting - with my foalie throwing herself about too.

Left them to settle and YO will check them at 7 - someone else checking again at 10. I am off to a friends house a bit later but I'm going to be fretting all evening...

well i did it yesterday - taking the baby down to my frineds yard fine till my lorry broke down on the way back and we waited 4.5 hours to be bought back from folkstone to london !!

Fingers crossed that it goes well for you! I'm sure that they'll soon settle and at least you're getting the stresses out of the way all at once.

MFH look at it this way, because she chose New Years Eve nobody will be bothered about the calling of the foals.......they will be too busy celebrating and enjoying some alcohol.........so maybe Arwen it was not the worst of nights after all....
