Do SOME people feel that in order to push their weight around, they have to talk about things they have absolutely no clue about?

Apparently there really are only two types of saddles to have, coming from this one persons expert knowledge.
Where does that knowledge come from? they are the two most expensive in the rideaway catologue

Apparently all 3 of her horses ("all 3 of myn")have one of these types, so there is no reason my ned shouldn't suit one.

Now what she funnily leaves out is 2 of 'her' horses, actually belong to someone else, one of them is 12.2h, she helps the little jockey, and the other she only rode once yesterday.

But this girl is going round saying "MY three horses", and saying the only options are bates or jeffries saddles! She is also telling me she must be right, it was a master saddler who fitted her horse, until I pointed out the only master saddler (listed by the AMS) in the area is based about 100 miles north of the bloke she saw.

Sorry, I know it's petty, just one of those grating things. I hate being spoken down to.

Well i had my horse fitted and neither of those makes fitted him

I felt a little petty posting, but it's the kind of moan wasted on the OH!

Yes, apparently I knew nothing, as my horse couldn't possibly have hated it when we tried a close contact on him, all of "hers" wear it, and then after that the only choice is jeffries!


She's terrible for it though, but it *is* only jealousy, winds me up something awful though! I'm going to go see baby horse

Just let her go along in her own little world - there's nothing worse than a know-it-all but they usually end up making themselves look stupid so just wait for it to happen and then laugh!

If the world only had 2 types of saddle how would we ride side saddle as i dont think either of those makes do them and also how on earth would i find 1 to find my hugely wide wobbly cob????

I haven't asked either on 'my' horses (actually my OH's), but I don't think either of them are bothered that their owners are so terrible they have not bought them Bates, Jeffries or Stuben saddles. As far as I can tell they are quite happy in the correctly fitted and comfortable rubbish someone threw together in Walsall.

Ahh well my horses used to have a jefferies but she grew out of it and as for bates ... well they don't fit her at all - I must be riding without a saddle

Just ignore her - it won't take long for everyone to work out she's a complete twit.
