do people bother to email you, call several times, make arrangements with you and then disappear!!!!

I am selling my baby boy which has been such a hard decision and I have had so many stupid time wasters calling me, emailing me and telling me they are interested and want to see him and then arranging dates etc and then they just don't bother to show up and disappear off the face of the earth!!!! I can totally understand that someone might be looking a different horses and decide my boy is not worth travelling to visit but for the love of sanity CALL ME and tell me that they have changed their minds!!!! they are happy enough to call me and spend a hour on to a mobile chatting about what they want to do with him and how he sounds perfect etc. but couldn't be bothered sending me a text to say they have changed their minds?????

i have had to take so many days off work at this stage i wont have any holiday leave left for Christmas!!!!!

Bloody timewasters!

rant over....... so... how has your day been???

Horse I sent someone to go and see for me wasn't the one in the pictures - thats how my day has been

Oh bugger - what did it turn out to be?

It is sh*t when that happens. I would say to everyone that if they change their mind on coming, please ring as you have to have day off work. That you don`t mind them not coming for whatever reason, as long as they let you know.
Some people are sooo selfish.

I thought they were brown and white?

Sorry.

What a nightmare - take it it was a dealer? What's the point in putting the wrong horse in the ad? Do they think you'll say oh well, that will do? nutters

Thought that would make you laugh

It was the website's fault apparently - the horse was sold some months ago and they uploaded the wrong pics for this new advert

Thats what annoys me so much. i had so many calls from her and emails talking about taking the day off work, having to arrange it her getting back to me saying she had managed to get the day off etc. Worse thing is my boy is in a private yard and they had an indoor rented for teh day and cancelled it so they would be there to show my little horse!!

drive you nuts!!!!

I can sympathise with you, some people are very selfish.

I've had someone offer me a silly price for my mare without even seeing her! How on earth can you tell how much something is worth without viewing it! At least have a look before trying to negotiate on price. Drives me nuts.

Sorry to hear that...I had a problem like this when I was trying to loan out my pony.
She was not an easy pony to ride and I put down in the ad that she would suit a competent rider...
I had a lovely girl turn up but had only have 2 lessons, her friends came with her and were egging her on. She had no confidence either, the next was a woman who came along and had learnt to ride with her daughter. Her daughter was good but believed that speeding the horse around the field a few times would tire her out and her mum could then ride her.
Someone did come along but never called me back and was impossible to get hold of.
In the end I waited and finally found someone who is great...
I basically in the end had a list of questions I would ask over the phone to make sure they would be interested and were right.
I spose maybe you could adapt some questions so that you can work out if they are mucking you about or not.
Good luck with it...someone out there is wanting to buy your horse...
