Arghh I am soo upset/cross at some complete and utter tw^t that used to be at my yard .

As you all know Sol is a cripple and anyone that wants to know what wrong with her I will tell ...

But some viscious little madam had been telling people (not on my yard but from PC/RC etc etc) that the reason Sol has been retired at 5 is because I over jumped her and have crippled her

Firstly , Sol has jumped 13 (single fences) IN HER LIFE (all on a surface or grass)

Secondly , Sol had bloody navicular before I bought her so they can sod off with the idea that its ALL my fault

eta - I haven't spoken to said woman about Sol's problems and she has no clue what going on as no-one has spoken to her ... the thing is that if it gets round then I'll have no chance of finding something to loan/buy

And breathe ... sorry had to get that out

On a brighter note - Sol has her 'special' shoes on today and she seems brighter (although I'm not now seeing as they cost £150 !!!

:O what a complete ...*use w.e word you like*! nasty NASTY woman!! Can she not understand what your going through?!

and fab news with Sol and her new shoesies

I used to get really upset by life's bullies wondering what I had done to deserve it until I realised that it was an issue in their life and probably wasn't even about me. Some people like to be the one on the yard with the gossip even if it isn't true/constructive.

The people who care about you all know the truth, anyone else who is ready to believe what this other woman has said isn't worth worrying about.

Some people are unbelievable barstewards! Can you confront the little bitch? She should be made to squirm.

Huge (((hugs))), you really don't need this.

I'm glad the new shoes are helping her, now you just need to practice writting cheques with youreyes shut

Some people....!!!

I'm trying too ... I need to let it whoosh over my head !
I just can't believe people would be so nasty about it

Sadly there are many nasty people in this world. People will, however, know this, and not believe it - especially if they know you. Its clear from your posts on here that you are knowledgeable and careful with your horse.

Love the camel flea quote - I'll second that.

Theres always bloody one isnt there, just ignore it, some people are so stupid and so cruel. Mind you I say that, if it had been said infront of me I think I would have crippled her! Pleased to hear sol is more comfy with her jimmy choos on!

My neighbour is like this, never with the horses, she knows naff all about them, but everything me or my daughter (who is six) does, she has to put it down, comment, scoff etc

Empty lives, so dull and boring

And we're so fabulous

The horse world can be bitchy.

Just ignore her. Anyone that wishes to believe her are as bad as her for spreading bad things.

She and her rumours are not worth thinking about.

Woman clearly has no life, so is creating an imaginary one at your expense. How very insensitive when you have had more than enough to cope with in making the best decisions for your horse's welfare - that is clear for anyone to see.

Oh take no notice hun, obviously they have got nothing better to talk about than someone elses misfortune let alone getting the facts wrong, only thing you can do is laugh it off.

Glad Sol is feeling better with her new runners on.
grin.gif

She clearly has nothing else to do in her life except talk about other people
crazy.gif
. The only good thing about this is I am sure she will have 'previous' for this sort of thing so I doubt anyone believes a word that comes out of her trap!

Chin up and may she get boils on her bum!!

There are some truely wicked people in this world.
All I can say is you know the truth, your friends know the truth and that is all that matters.
Sadly I have been in a similar position in the past and know how hurtful it is (worse for my daughter as it was her horse

).
Hold your head up and "whoosh" over it goes

What she had on? Bar shoes and pads??

She's had front egg bars and hinds with m...(cant read his writing!) and lateral support with studs

Have seen a lot of your posts amd can honestly say i really feel for you, must be awful.
You sre doing really well, ignore what the idiots say cos anyone really worth bothering with will ask you about her themselves.

Some people just like to make others out to be bad.....someone started telling people I was neglecting my Fell pony because she was losing weight....the truth was she had liver disease and was recovering from a week in hospital after a major attack...it really did upset me as we were doing everything we could for her.
frown.gif

{{{hugs}}} The people who need to know the truth wont listen to rumours, I wouldn't worry about her.

medial and lateral supports?
Are both heels pretty wide an dlong behind?

Yes indeed they are ! That must be it

I was too busy chattin to the apprentice ! Whoops
wink.gif

Yes, as the bars have been fitted to the fronts and there for if she is normal in front it will ok for standard navicular shoeing.

This is probably he reason for the long and wide fit behind.

Lou x

I could understand him wanting to raise the heels with the studs but a wedge would have been better (thinking of the collapsed heels now)

it sounds like there may be too much metal there?
have you done any research into plactic shoes which will give the NAV the support it needs without crushing the already collapsed heels?

Bothe Easywalker and Imprint would be benefitial as both are a bar shoe

Hi, cant type fast enough to keep up
smile.gif

Bars on the front are fine as the heels are fine! i think the studs may be a mistake since they would just sink into the grass anyway. he is trying to lift the heels and a wedge would have been better way of doing it and will prevent crushing the heels any furthur

I just smiled and nodded
blush.gif
blush.gif

I haven't researched plastic shoes as I am still trying to find out what is ACTUALLY wrong with her (waiting fro the vets report and xrays !) before doing anything major I think

Yes the studs baffle me, I thin a wedge would have been more effective, but all farriers have there own way.
The thing with studs is that the pressure is very centralised. With a wedge it would be more evenly distributed!
