A few photos from the champs. My friend took the photos with his camera for us to use how we please...

How gorgeous is he! He looks in fab condition :)
Do you clip him?

Thanks :) 3 5k runs a week and a lot of running round the garden continuously (and at the yard) has made him that fit! Not an ounce of fat on him! Solid muscle. Also he's on raw, and definitely looks better on it!

I don't clip him, if I did - he'd have patches all over him, and probably lost an ear! LOL! He goes to the beauty parlour every now and then! He looks much better as he does in the pic, rather than his scruffy long wire hair! As a pup, he was smooth coated, then as he got older, he got scruffier and scruffier! Turned into the proper wire hair JRT x fox terrier he is! Hair was all over the house, so got him a hair cut, and looked LOADS better for it! Then he had another hair cut just before the champs :) over winter I think I'll let him be scruffy and warm :) but he much prefers the nakedness in summer!

Here's a pic of his scruffiness! This isn't too bad! It's been worse!

Fantastic photos! Is he running over 12", he doesn't look big enough to be at that height he must have long legs!

Yes he's our height dog at 12". Very deceptive is Wibble....when we got him measured we were hoping for 10"...so when they said "an easy 12" - we were shocked! He makes mince meat out of it and is just as quick as the collies! Had him measured twice now, and both got "an easy 12""! 2 more measurements from now until October, then he can get his height card :)

Mine is also the height dog but he's only 7", although he measures nearer to 6! Heights can be so deceptive, there are some dogs running at full height that I'm sure must be smaller than that, and in Div 1, I think it was Live Wires who were running at 12" and none of their dogs looked smaller than full height!

Yes I did see that! When we were admin-ing, on the sheets there were a few collies that were measured at 12" - very surprised to see a smaller collie as it looked full height to me!

What club you with?

I'm with Shawcross, based in West Yorkshire.

I found out tonight I'm running a second dog at Drax on sunday, feeling the pressure a bit as this is a 4 second dog running in our top team and I've never run her before tonight! Was a bit of a shock running a collie for the first time, have only ever run my boy before!

Ester - the smallest dog in the team sets the height of the jumps. The jumps can be anywhere from 7" to 14" high, depending on how big the dog is to the shoulder. So a team of 4 tall collies run at 14". Height dogs are sought after because if you get a fast height dog it lowers the height of the jumps for the other dogs in the team. So my dog will always be slower than a fast collie (although he can hold his own against average or slower collies) but the other 3 dogs in our team are lightning fast over 7", they don't even need to jump.

Fab pics, I am surprised he is 12" too though, mind you I am convinced Freya diddly dog should be 13" but just can't squeeze her in LOL!
Still hoping their might be some prof pictures of them at champs but he seems to have lost our division at the moment :-(
