I know, I know it's been asked to death before, but I'm really struggling to find some tall boots, suitable for competitions that aren't as expensive as the horse itself.

Does anyone know if any boots that will fit a 17.5 inch calf?

I've seen lots of people recommending Calgary boots to people with 18" calves, but on the webiste it only says about 41/42cm!

Do a lot of boots stretch a fair bit past what the measurements say?

fuller fillies - i have 18in calfs and the xw fit with room to spare (about £160)
otherwise equitector - they do really big widths but are a bit more expensive. I paid £210 for mine

You know that saying ''I don't have calves...I have cows'', yep, thats me!

Fuller fillies wasn't around when I was buying my gaiters so I ended up getting a pair of ariats. I think they say they go to 17inch...but I found them quite generous with sizing so if you get a chance it may be worthwhile going and trying them on. Gorgeous leather too...It was like butter from day 1!

Couldn't recommend them enough!
