I have a slim friend who is looking for a pair of tall, smart leather riding boots with a zip up the back. She has thin calves but wider than average feet. Like me, she's no spring chicken so she's also of an age where comfort is paramount. She tried on a pair of Ariats today but they were far too narrow in the foot so she never even got to zip them up. Ariats have different leg widths and heights, but just one standard foot width.

I just wondered if anyone knows of brands that are wider in the foot or even a company that could make them to measure, without breaking the bank?

Thanks in advance.

I always find mountain horse boots fairly wide in the foot.
Or maybe try equitector boots thinj they do a variety of different fittings

For wide feet and thin legs I would look at men's boots (as long as she has a fair length of leg).

I also have wide feet. Really painful in most ladies' styles.
