ok, no more questions about Novice Restricted Regionals... I got me a wild card!!! I am sooooooooo happy!!! Spoilt bratt mode!!!!!!!! Dont expect much at the Nationals but at least I got there!!
Thankyou all soooooooooooooo much, I know I have been a pain asking about Regionals
but it means sooooooooo much to me.!!!!!!
After receiving such good new though, it brought me back down to earth when we found out that my hubbies aunty died of Cancer tonight........life is soooooooo precious... you have to make the most of your life you know and enjoy every moment.. good or bad times, be happy whatever eh??
katiejaye I will see you there, I am competing on Frid and Saturday, Novice Restricted and Prelim... come and say hello.. I will be the one with red hair, white face and ready to faint ... not because my breeches are too tight!!! .
. in a big white police looking horsebox and "husband with tatoos"... we are quite normal though!!! Look forward to meeting you... although I will be a bag of nerves until after my test!!
I will let you know when I get my times and do come and say Hello, although I may be a little "stressed" before I have done my test so just ignore me until after when I am sure I will be wanting a cup of coffee with added substances... like a brandy!!
So, any tips from anyone???
I feel a little out of my league as this is my first year doing dressage and any help/advice may calm me down!!
What are the stables like?? At Patchetts they were flooded and just soil so I had to get extra bedding at the event but at Addington they were rubber matting? Do they have lights in the stables to enable you to plait up at 5am!!! What is the warm up arena like?? Will it be packed with horses??? Ekkk!! Finally... what is the best leather care you have found to make your tack glisten (cant afford a new bridle!!) and also your horse shine??
stables are temporary ones on a field with minimal light at night well that was situation for the bsja champs the week after!!
you will be fine you scored high enough scores to get there so you won't be out of your depth. go have fun and enjoy yourself and hey if you can get a rossie even better
Enjoy your day at the Nationals and remember to post a full report afterwards - it will be used by those of us yet to have our chance to pad out our dreams with a bit of real stuff.
Will do thanks!! and good luck to your fellow competitors.. you should be proud of them with such good scores.. it is surely wonderful to see that many horses now are being trained to a good standard and that is what it is all about...getting a rossette helps to boost us though!!!Te he!!
