It has been reported that Harry Meade's Wild Lone has died after the X-country at WEG.

A statement released by the event organisers confirm that Wild Lone collapsed and died shortly after Harry dismounted.
 
Poor Harry having broken his elbows, now having to contend with this, how horrible for him, the owners and everyone involved in looking after the beautiful horse

Sadly did know him but very sad tragic news, sympathies to all involved. RIP lad. :(
 
Heartbreaking. We stayed to watch him complete yesterday but did not know he had died, until I logged on this forum.

Poor horse, poor Harry.
 
I watched the highlights of the XC on telly and I was very saddened to hear the news. Thought Harry was amazing how he held it together when Claire Balding interviewed him after the event, fair play to him, a very brave thing to agree to an interview. You could see he had been crying as his eyes were reddened and got watery, I would have been in bits. Very brave rider, very brave horse.
