Will a 4 year old welsh section d grow anymore?

My welsh section d is now 4 hes standing at 14.3 1/2hh however he has full siblings that have both made 15.2hh, so will he grow anymore (which i doubt he will) or not he is still fairly fine so looks as though he has got a bit of filling out to do but anyone got any idea what sort of age he will start doing that?
 
Hmmm, you might be surprised but 15hh is a lovely height for a Section D IMO. I don't actually like them bigger (sez she who's got a 15.3!) as they often lose the pony head and refinement...

The filling out will come - in a year or two with work and maturity.
 
most probably my welsh d was slow growing and very fine at 4, i didnt think hed make big enough , hes 7 now and stillgrowing!!a lot of welsh cobs dont finish maturing till 8. as for a sweet itch rug get a rambo hoody its brill and worked a treat for mine and very hardwearing.
 
Well hes big enough now really would just be happier if he got past the 15hh mark but he certainly won't be going any time soon
 
I bought a 14.1hh 3yr old and she now (5yr old) and standing just over 15.1hh... She is also a little bum high so I think there is more in there lol! If I remember rightly she was aroud the 14.3/15hh mark at 4!
 
I bought my D as a 3 year old, he was 14.1 and narrow, he stopped growing at 8 and is now 15.2 and built like a tank..... so yes think you will get a bit more height
 
would be VERY suprised if he doesn't grow to 15.1h then fill out until he is 8

Oh just so you know the worst age for a Welshie is age 6 somehow they usually turn into 'Kevin' for a year :D
 
Haha good to know about the Kevin year!

My section D hasn't grown a millimeter in the past 6 months, its like she's stuck on 13.3hh (2 year 3 months).
Its just weird to not grow at all for 6 months at that age, anyone else had this? Please tell me its followed by a big growth spurt :D

So OP I don't know, but I am happy to read that its common for them to keep growing after 4 x

I am glad to hear he might grow a little more yet i won't give up hope

missyme10 - i wouldn't worry hes been like that he would go months without growing the all of a sudden he would be really bum high don't know how we've managed to get to 14.3hh
