My pony has been a broodmare all her life, and spent all that time out at grass.

I bought her to break and ride and it has become apparent she is a mild laminitic.

I have changed her routine now, it includes periods stabled, muzzled turnout in a big field and unmuzzled turnout in a small bare patch with hay.

She hasnt once complained and stables happily enough, doesnt try to take the muzzle off ect, but can she ever get used to and more importantly, be happy in her new routine?

I just wish she could understand why I do it it to her :(

Thanks x

Yes, she'll get used to it. Sounds as though she's already taking it all in her stride, which is great. You're doing all the right things for her. :)

She is being so good. Always comes to me when I bring her back in. I'd like to think she understands that the new way of life = no pain. I always give her a big fuss and pamper and a carrot when I take her muzzle off. I hope she doesnt hate me for it xx
