After quite a little canter (not really sweating much but breathing heavily & veins standing out) walked off horse for 5min or so. Hosed, (which he really enjoyed) then couldn't find sweat scrapper. Did best I could with a brush then walked him round for a few (but prob only 3-5

) min. Popped him back in field. he lives out rugless 24-7 in summer but I'm really worried he'll get too chilled. That was about 9:30ish and I'm still worried...

tip for when you can't find the sweatscraper again- use your whip- bend it a little and scrap the water off!! XD

Oh eck, I'm glad you weren't around on Saturday. Henry had a proper shower (he has his own puff!!) in cold water from the hose. It ran between his bum cheeks and the reaction was a VERY hunched up pony, poor lad. Happy to say he was fine and rolled less than 2 mins later, to show me what he thought of the whole 'shampoo' experience!!!

If he's out 24/7, he can walk/trot around to warm up. Or stick his wet bum against an unsuspecting field acquaintance. The equivalent of icy feet in bed, lol!
