Will I be too big?

Well i have been looking for a horse for a while now, veiwed a few and nothing has really grabbed me.

I have seen one horse that i really like the look of, only problem being is he's 14.3hh.
I'm 5ft8 and I'm scared I'll be too big. The girl in the ad is 5ft9 and looks slightly big but not too bad. I'm 15 and have stopped growing competley, I am skinny, so i will have no problem with weight.

But I just don't know whether i will look too big to even consider going to veiw it.

heres me riding a 15hh connie, this horse is bigger barreled than the one i am considering veiwing. please excuse stirrups :eek:

Unless you want to show to a high level, getting the right horse for you is more important than looking the "perfect" size. And you won't look that big anyway :D

Just local shows for me :p probably within my livery yard. I hope i dont look too big, because the horse looks lush x
 
no i reckon ul be fine-i was asking this question not long ago about a 14.1 and im 5ft 3 and i feel fine on him and were just doing the local shows. like someone said its more about finding the right horse. i just have loads of fun on mine and can jump on him from the ground with no hassel-got to love the small ones lol. keep us posted :D x
 
Thank you will do! as you've said i would rather find a good horse than worry about a slight height issue :)

im an inch shorter than you and ride a 13.2 at county level showing and do ok, and dont look too big (a little admittedly) so i wouldnt rule him out.
