My chubby calfs have let me down! excess baby weight ;):o:D
basically i have a show on Sunday, taking cobby in the ridden cob and the working hunter baby class. Mainly for a day out and for the experience for her :)
Thing is my long leather black boots won't do up the last 2" or so :o:o i can force them but it feels like the circulation has been cut off :o:o all i have that fit nicely are these boots & gaitors below in dark brown:

My tweed is brown, tie green, shirt pale yellow and jods cream color, tack brown and cane brown with brown gloves.
I figured as they are dark and not tan colored i may get away with it.......i don't want to stand out for the wrong reasons and let the cob down :p:p

Will it look okay or will i look like a *twonk* as someone pointed out on the last thread :o:o:D:D

If everything else is brown your brown boots/gaiters will look fine.
Don't worry, be happy! :) Everyone else will be worrying about their horse, not your boots.

Can you post some pics of cobby in brown tack please? After seeing fatty in a brown martingale recently I am seriously considering going traditional....

Ok they look fine. and get to show and enjoy. ****** gaiters put a smile on your face. Turn horse out to best get in that ring and smile. that will show more than your gaiters . trust me :)

Thanks guys :)

I thought they would be okay just wanted to make sure :D

Will get lots of piccies and post a full report, love reading other peoples show reports :)

Piccies a def hun. what i was trying to say is show you are so happy. you are there on the best horse in world. ok as we go up the standards turn out becomes more impoertant but clean tidy horse clean tack and tidy rider shoukd be rule BUT a smile says it all. it should be fun. good luck and yes a report please :) x

I personally think brown is BETTER than black when you have brown tack. Especially as it is with tweed etc. In what world does brown go with black! No one will bat an eye!

Agree, actually I think brown is more correct. Look at Lynn Russell and her show cobs, she always wears brown boots. Good luck.

I don't think anyone will notice your boots because they will all be looking at your lovely cob, having said that the boots look fine xx
