Could you please spare some vibes for us...worst week ever!!!! :(

After 5 months of working really carefully and slowly building Kelly up after her lami in March, we'd finally started trot work (only 10 minutes max every other day, building it up). She was doing so well, really back to her normal self out hacking a complete trouble maker...! :p
Pulled her out on Tuesday - lame, walked her and she seemed to walk it off. Yesterday, pulled her out - lame. Walked her, wouldn't walk it off. :( Seems very sore. No heat, no swelling, no pulse, no odd stance, seems fine behaviourally, eating drinking etc fine, dragging us to bushes, but dishing one foot.

I'm back at uni now so hoping that the vet finds something today as horrible as it sounds - if its an abcess or something at least it can be treated!
When will it ever end?????????:rolleyes::(:(

On a more amusing note, after my escapades after a horse falling on me on Tuesday, I was limping, Kelly was limping, we must have looked a right pair!!!!! :o

It never rains but it pours doesn't it.

Sending you both a biggest hugs and good vibes that I can.

I really hope you both recover soon.

Love and hugs

Is she shod or barefoot? My barefoot pony went lame all of a sudden and I got the farrier first to check her for abscesses. After inspection of her foot he said that small stones/gravel has worked it's way up between her hoof wall and the sole of her foot, to give her rest for a few weeks (as well as a trim from him that day) and if she isn't sound by then call him back out for another look. Sure enough within a couple of weeks she was sound as a pound again :)

I do really hope she's ok and it's nothing serious!

She's got heartbars on - severe case of lami in March brought on by seizures (no idea where that came from!) and its the only time she's come sound after she'd been shod with those.
she gets very footsore barefoot - we've got a remedial farrier seeing to her at the minute
I'm just hoping we've got an abcsess or something at least we can treat it and know what it is!!!

Update - no lami, no abcesses he thinks she needs her toes cutting right back (again) as its causing pressure within her feet - or something to that effect I didn't get the full story. Vet said she's "taking the mickey" a bit with us :p
So nothing serious!! :D:D:D:D
