Will it reach the sky before it falls over??!!

I've had my new neddy 4 months and he was hogged when i bought him but i wanted to grow it out.
After 4 months there is no sign that it will ever fall over

, he looks like a punk rocker bless him

, he's a IDx and it's suprisingly quite soft.
How long will it take do you think before it will fall over and I've got something to hold onto if it all goes boobs up!!

I've afraid to say when I grew-out my cobs mane it took ages for it to start 'falling over' and we even ended up doing a dressage competition with his punk hair style. I can't remember exactly how long it took for it to start falling over (but certainly lots of months!) and now after about 9 years it still doesn't even like lying flat on his neck all the time and bits of it frequently become 'punk' like despite the use of neck covers and lots of plaiting!

I gave up and re-hogged. My mare mane split in two and almost fell over but not quite!! It looked such a mess............and too much like a bog brush to leave it!! He he

Frank was hogged within a year, it was sitting nicely and it is very coarse and poofy, I can post pics if you need inspiration!

this was 3 months after last hogging, he was hogged in the march for selling, this was in the june. (just after I bought him- yes he was vvvv overweight.

It was fine by the next march I think- I didn't take pics at it went on but I did let it grow long (he is welsh!) which I think helped it to stay over. (see sig drsg pic) I pulled it for the first time this year as he was getting too hot.

edited to add and I didn't do anything with it, no plaiting over, no hoods etc it just did it on its own.

my gelding was used for polo for two years and was hogged. his mane has been growing since april and it is still a bit of a mess but it is getting there i exspect it will be back to nornal by about january but it will need to be given a bit of lenght to encourage it to lie flat
