When I was little I used to love having browbands with coloured velvet ribbons and so bought one when I bought my cob 20 years later. I finally took it off as people seemed horrified to see a grown up 16.2 coloured cob with a velvet browband...................

Yesterday I went to the tack shop and was lured by the shinyness of a crystal browband

He is hogged so it will really show up. The only good thing is that it is a Kieffer one so its good quality

Will the other horses laugh at him and will I be shunned by other riders?

no get as much bling as you can!! i wanted one for bracken as you can get names spelt out in crystal however as i dont ride her would be waste of money

I would say depends where you go. Murph has a fairly low key bling browband, daughter forgot to change it for the plain one once to go hunting. Got a lot of funny looks!

My 2yo Chav pony would be green with envy. She reckons you can't have enough bling, innit? I don't know how she turned Chav, but as chavitis is not a recognised condition, don't think it's treatable.
She says 'whatevah!' and 'bovvered?!' to all requests for good behaviour....

you could go further and get some tack i saw advertised, they have lime green or pink saddles and bridles!

Have just blown an obscene amount of money on a PinkEquine fuchsia jewel encrusted browband for my GELDING!!!! Also have raspberry pink numnahs, raspberry pink bridle on order (yes, really), raspberry pink cooler, dayglo pink hi viz hat band and tabard and an exercise fleece in dayglo pink that gives you a migraine looking at it and which can be seen from outer space (so it works on the road!). Got a bling numnah with pink diamond hearts on too and I would kill for a pair of stirrups with pink fuchsia jewels down the outside but they don't make them in bent leg! All the other liveries think I'm certifiable but the way I see it I am a bona fide wrinklie so didn't have a chance to do the girlie pink glitter thing when I was young AND, you know what Trinnie and Susannah say, it takes a MAN to wear pink!!!!! Live long and prosper Parsley!!! xxx
