Got some Ariat Volant ladies show chaps on a trade stand this summer ... God they are beautiful! For various reasons I haven't had an opportunity to actually wear them ..... And was devastated to find my left calf muscle is significantly flatter than my right calf muscle! So the left, which I'd tried on when I bought them, fits perfectly and the right is so so so tight it always steals my breath when I move (I can just about close it, with help!)...

I guess I want someone to tell me it will stretch a bit! Totally my fault for not trying both (or putting on weight lol) ... but I reeeeeeeally want to keep them an likely wouldn't make back the purchase price on Ebay!

Yes!
I had exactly the same prob after buying a pair at badminton a while back- they were both fitted by a girl on one of the stands but she had to use alace to pull the zip up. When I tried them at home I thought I´d end up with gangrene in my leg! However after a few goes of wearing them around the house they did loosen and are now just nice and snug. The girl ont he stand said they are supposed to be too tight to start so that they stay well fitting one they´ve stretchad and despite some initial doubts and squashed legs I have to say she was right.

I have some meshy endurance ones which have been used 3 times because I loose circulation in my lower leg as they are so tight! Not helpful when riding at speed, although you don't notice your legs feeling hot!!

I reckon so, try balming them whilst wearing them and wear them on bare legs to stretch them for a bit. Failing that maybe you could take them to a cobblers and they could put them on their boot stretching device?

That's a good idea ... was wondering if I could recreate some like that at home, diy style ....

I remain optimistic!

I was told exactly this by the lady in the shop where I bought mine.

I bought mine a couple of years ago and haven't worn them yet, tried them on a few months ago and they were so tight.......actually just like you described. My fault as I have put on a bit of weight.
