Willy getting stuck

One of our 3 yr olds gets his willy stuck. Its hard to explain but basically he gets the end tucked up in front of his sheath. He can't free it himself but if you gently pull it, it frees. Yesterday he had it stuck again and had tried to pee but it obviously couldn't go anywhere so when I pulled it out for him this pee came pouring out, all over my hand, yuk.
I have never heard of any other horse getting this, any one heard of this? I can't see anything wrong with his willy confo wise, so why is it getting stuck?

Is it clean/does it need cleaning? Try a bit of baby oil it might lube it up a bit!!!

Never really heard of it before though sorry, might be worth getting your vet to give it a quick check over when he next has his vacs???

Its catching on the skin in the sheath its nothing to do with the willy itself, you should speak to the vet because they can make a cut in the offending skin to stop it happening, its what Troy Becki's foal had and my foal genger had earlier this year. You should get it done though because you can't be their to free it very time he pee's and it will be far healthier if he pee's outside rather than in.

Doesn't look/feel that dirty, not like my boy gets, but I haven't put my hand right in there as he will probably kill me.
Will get the vet to have a look when next out, if he will let her.

it sounds like phimosis where the entrance to the sheath is not entirely wide enough for the penis to pass through - it can be fixed though, so you should get your vet out to see what can be done.

Yes, HorseGroupie is right, this is exactly what Troy had his 'little operation' for. Basically it was getting stuck because the hole was not of sufficient enough size for it to drop out naturally. The vet said it needed sorting as it would get infected being left as the urine would start to pool if he couldn't drop it out to have a wee

It was relatively simple and he is now very proud of his todger and has it out on every possible occasion

P.S. It is particularly HUGE though
