Anyone else going? Entered to compete on Sunday but having doubts about the ground, have heard it has a good covering of grass and it says they will eqivate all phases. Anyone walking it on Friday that can let me know what it is like? Have to leave very early Sat to get out of Cornwall so Saturday is no good.
 
Ground should be ok, had a fair amount of rain here and it's run on old turf. We're down there with two novices on Sat and I will prob go up on Sunday as know fair few people competing!
If you wanted to stay Friday night, we've got a spare stable and we're literally 20mins away-or Sat night if you cant face driving home, I know what a trek it is!!
 
Thank's Boss I should have stabling booked for Sat (competing Sun) but can I keep you in mind for next year (saying that had no stable confirmation though yet!) Great to hear it has rained so dry here its unbelievable.

Yep def, Wilton is our local so youre very welcome. It's actually raining as I speak and more storms are forecast tonight so hopefully you'll get the run.
Wilton int's a lovely course, bit of a large drop with a scary run down a hill but the rest is straightforward

Did the Novive last year and enjoyed it thought the Intermediate looked nice. (Confirmation late last year!) I know they have made some changes as Lucy W has had an input with the course this year so will be interesting to see.
 
Cath is doing the intermediate on sunday as well, in a different section to you though. It's supposed to be really nice, I've never been to watch though. She did say a few things about the drop!

The thing me that scares me about that drop is the two very nasty uphill steps at the bottom- your horse gets away from you down that slope, you have no chance of bouncing up the steps cleanly

Just had stabling through staying at Coombe Bissett which doesn't seem too far. Saw the drop last year the pic has just reminded me how big it is! As long as it is steps after it and not a skinny should be ok!
 
I'll be there on Sunday to watch, not grooming this time. My boss is doing the OI.
