My four month old springer pup has the most hideous wind problem, quite honestly he could melt walls at a hundred paces!!
Is it possible to buy doggy pre or probiotics?
He a typical puppy and eats everything he shouldn't ie piles of wild bunny poo, leaves and anything else going, but his everyday food is a decent dried brand.
When I first got him he did a rather spectacular dive into our pond and this resulted in a very poorly tummy which eventually cleared up with antibiotics but the wind continues.
He is definatly a man dog as he doesn't seem bothered by his appalling smell but it makes my other girl spany walk away!!

What brand of food do you use? Is it free from beef, wheat etc? When I have dogs to stay with me I insist on feeding them the same James Wellbeloved food that my dog has because they stink less!

If he is already on that sort of food then I think you have to make sure that he doesn't get given any scraps and be watchful that he doesn't eat bunny poo and the like!

re: trying carrots - take care, cut them up. Large pieces of carrot (and other things) can sit in the stomache and come back at the most inconvinient moments!

My brother has a boxer about three or four years old who has the most terrible wind all the time. Also takes about 3 poos every time he has a walk. So far nothing has worked. That same brother has a bad ass to tho, so like father like son i suppose
