I am thinking of putting some mesh above my fence to provide some shelter from the wind and rain, but also provide some shade in summer. The idea is it will stay up whilst I plant hedging behind to protect it whilst it gets established (I spent loads on baby trees a few months ago only to find them uprooted every morning and thrown around the yard - welsh cob humour). I have seen mesh used before around outdoor schools, but when I search online there seem to be two types - the plastic type, and a canvas/tarpaulin type. Has anyone used any ? Any advice or recommendations would be much appreciated.
