Hello! So, my TB mare is 25 and last week noticed swelling on hind leg, just above the fetlock. She is not at all lame, tho there was some heat. As she would rather do 25 dressage tests in a row than stay in a stable for any length of time, I left her out thinking the snow would cool it anyway.
It's still there a wk later and still heat, no lameness, and she doesn't mind it being picked up or touched.
What I don't understand is that she's never worked v hard, and at the moment lives a life of Riley, she's done abt one walk hack in the last month. I thought windgalls were usually associated with hard work? Could b wrong tho...
If it is a windgall and does sound normal despite no work and no lameness, is there much I or my vet can do?!
Thank you!
Xx
