Did I really read it right in H & H this week that Windsor Show finished off with a 'flambouyant firework display?

I'm sorry, the logic of this utterely defeats me or am I too naive?

I thought fireworks and horses don't mix that well or have I got that wrong somewhere along the line? Do they make sure every horse is off the showfield before they start or is it tough luck if they are due to stay over for that night too? Would love to know as it seems very irresponsible to me.
Let alone any horses, what about the other wildlife and birds in the Park and surrounding areas, do they not get frightened and upset too by all the 'flambouyant' whizz-bangs or don't they count?
Will be interested to hear on this one as once we get to autumn, H & H is awash with complaints about fireworks causing mayhem and danger to horses!

I didn't explain myself very well, I'm sorry.

I also meant to say, in light of this, how can non-horsey people be expected to show courtesy and caution towards horses around firework time, when the Windsor lot have almost scored a home goal by having fireworks AT A HORSE SHOW even if it is at the end, the general public aren't to know the horses have gone are they?!
What are they to think? - It's one rule for us and another for them? How selfish of us, or at least that's the way I see it.

i totally agree with you, horses and fireworks really isnt a good mix. And i cant believe that ahorse show is promoting this
