WINDSOR Park - Hacking

I often hack in the Park and rarely see another horse.

Anyone else hack there and would like to meet up?

Goodness, I would love to hack with you but sadly am rather too far away near Leeds! I used to work at Ribblesdale Park in Ascot - it was a livery and polo yard, not sure if it is still going but the hacking was amazing. Can you still ride through the deer park?

Tried Queenie - but she has a rep as being a 'thruster'. I like nice quiet hacks.

Yes, can still ride in the deer park. Acres and acres - lovely - and sensational views of the castle.

I do ride out with friends - just thought it would be nice to meet new peeps.

Hi I dont yet... I have looked into getting a pass, but never done it because I dont know anyine who has one or the way around. But I would definately be interested. I do need to box up to get there, so would also need to know about parking

Hi Henny,

I believe the parking is fine - there is a special park which is used by horseboxes I believe.

Best thing is to 'phone the Crown Estate office and ask them and then go down and have a look!!

I think its either for the full year or just the winter. Don't think you can do just the summer!! I believe that you have to stick to the tracks in the winter though.

It is expensive, but delightful!!

Not seen her Maj or any of the Royals. But when I was driving many years ago, I used to pass the Duke of Edinburgh driving fells.

Would be nice to be able to meet peeps and perhaps have a little drinkie in the pub at Bishopsgate!! Sounding inviting?

Ahh, signing up for the winter might be good for me, then at least i can see how much i use it. I will let you know if/when i sort it out

I have recently moved Ben down to a yard near the park so that we can hack more, would like to meet up and have a nice gentle hack as horse is in rehab.

Before that we use to trailer down and the parking is fine seperate trailer parking but can get a bit busy on the weekends.
