We have been invited to jump in the services team show jumping at windsor does anyone know about the stabling there as we have to stay overnight and my horse is a bit freaky

There is an article in this weeks H&H about the new layout - the stables are moving closer to the rings, but the lorries are still a long way from the box park. I've not stayed over there though, so I can't comment on ins and outs.

Yes my partner is army and took part in the showjumping and the tent pegging your chef d'equipe should arrange your stabling which is with everyone else. Your class will be first thing sat. am 7.30 start! you will allso prob be required for the parade before the second round which is in the afternoon.
It can be very busy inthe stabling so if your horse is of a nervous disposition you many find it a bit stressful but the stable manager was very helpful and im sure you'll have fun.

Sounds interesting are you going? Are the stables the portable type? We have never put him in any of these before,do the roofs flap at all. Chef d'equipe has been told how stupid he is

Yes i will be there as i am doing some other 'stuff' OH has had a bit of a crash and broken his leg whilst training for the tent pegging!!!! Oh dear i am NOT a good nurse!
Anyway stables are wood and plastic not terribly robust. Because i havs stallions i always bring extas, like cross ties to put across the door so they cant barge out and lot of string and duck tape!! Armed with these few vitals you can over come a lot of the flapping!!! not sure that includes the riders though!!!
I find thoso large soft buckets are good for water as they 'mould' into the corners and i use an over the door feed manger so they dont send their food flying. Make sure your kit is well marked it took me 2days to find my wheel barrow last year as it got 'borrowed'.
